With comprehensive programs and tailored treatment plans, Athens Addiction Recovery Center (AARC), specializes in treating substance use disorders in an outpatient setting. They offer ambulatory medical detox with medication-assisted treatment (MAT) as an option, day treatment and intensive outpatient programs (IOP), separate men's and women's programs, and also offer ketamine therapy. Their approach uses evidence-based therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) in individual counseling, group sessions, and family therapy, addressing co-occurring mental health conditions as needed. Clients benefit by learning healthy coping skills, healing emotional wounds, and developing tools to resist cravings and change unhelpful patterns. Their IOP has a morning and evening track to allow clients to maintain other responsibilities while prioritizing recovery. AARC continues to offer support after individuals complete one of their outpatient programs. Their continuing care options include weekly support groups, individual therapy sessions, and case management services. Staff will work with each client to create a continuing care plan that will best support their recovery. Athens Recovery aims to help individuals reduce relapse and effectively manage triggers for long-lasting recovery.
