The A.F. Whitsitt Center uses a holistic and trauma-informed approach to support the recovery of the patient. Treatment programs offered are medication assisted treatment (MAT) and extensive counseling. Therapies include individual, group, and gender-specific sessions that help clients build relapse prevention skills and address underlying grief and trauma, contributing to well-being.
Recovery in Motion (RIM) is a free, peer-led outpatient program providing a safe and supportive environment for patients on the road to wellness. This unique program includes educational, family and wellness-oriented activities, recreation, arts and crafts, job search assistance, harm reduction services and naloxone education. The program’s main goal is to empower people and enhance their quality of life.
