Focus

This center treats substance use disorders and mental health conditions. You'll receive individualized care catered to your unique situation and diagnosis, learn practical skills for recovery, and make new connections in a restorative environment.

Offering state-certified intensive outpatient programs, A Positive Alternative (APA) provides carefully selected gender-specific men's and women's groups. Each group is a maximum of 6-8 individuals, resulting in a highly personalized treatment experience.APA aims to bridge substance use treatment with mental health therapy, combining individual sessions, family workshops/support groups, naturopathic wellness, and mindfulness based relapse prevention. Their evidence-based, non-12-Step approach offers an alternative path to recovery by addressing core issues that drive substance use and building tools for lasting change. Clients often leave the program having formed healthier relationship with themselves and strong connections with other group members, creating a support network that extends beyond treatment. With APA's focus on teaching awareness of both mind and body, participants learn to manage stress, tolerate discomfort, and navigate triggers more effectively-- invaluable skills for relapse prevention.
