Alcohol and Drug Freedom Center of Knox County

The Freedom Center helps people of all ages with substance use and mental health issues. As an outpatient center, it provides individual, group, and family counseling, allowing clients to receive treatment while living at home. This structure lets them stay connected to their community, work, and school while getting support.
For its adult clients, the center creates personal treatment plans using proven methods like the Matrix Model and seeking safety with distinct programs for women. It also offers medication assisted treatment (MAT) for adults when appropriate. Separately, the center operates a specialized counseling program for court-referred youth under 18 years-old.
The center prepares clients for long-term health by providing care after their main treatment. It teaches practical skills to prevent relapse and connects individuals with community resources like 12-step programs. This continuing support helps people build a strong foundation to maintain their well-being independently.

4. Aftercare Planning

Continued support, relapse prevention strategies, and connections to community resources for lasting recovery.
