Focus

This center primarily treats substance use disorders, helping you stabilize, create relapse-prevention plans, and connect to compassionate support.

Archway Academy is a sober high school focused on providing education for teens recovering from alcohol use and substance use disorders. Located in the heart of Houston, Archway has been in operation since 2003 with the goal of providing adolescents with a structured environment that minimizes relapse triggers and supports their recovery. At Archway Academy, students enroll in two programs: Southwest Schools’ academic program and Archway Academy’s recovery program. Southwest Schools offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to equip teens for success, empowering them to pursue higher education and future opportunities beyond high school if they choose. A team of therapists offers counseling to support students in their recovery and works alongside the school faculty to provide the necessary support while also prioritizing academics. Archway Academy prioritizes a rigorous academic program, offering electives, college test preparation, college fairs, and student organizations, to ensure that students are given the same opportunities as any other school. They also offer a flexible curriculum consisting of online and in-person classes to cater to each student's unique set of needs. Their low student-to-teacher ratios ensure that students receive personalized attention and ample support from the faculty, fostering their growth and success.
