They recommend that all of their detox patients continue their recovery in their inpatient setting. Detox can last from 1-2 weeks, depending on the individual needs of the client. The inpatient program exists to help clients prioritize their self-care and wellbeing while also providing unwavering support for that to happen. Clients benefit from a wide variety of evidence-based therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational incentives. Clients attend private and group therapy sessions, learn coping skills and relapse prevention techniques. Additionally, clients can benefit from holistic therapies like massage therapy, meditation, chiropractic care and nutrition education. Residential treatment at Aurora can last anywhere from 21-60 days.
