Center for Human Development La Grande

The Center for Human Development (CHD) in La Grande is a private outpatient clinic in Eastern Oregon that treats mental health conditions, substance use disorders, and developmental disabilities. CHD serves individuals across the lifespan—including children, young people, adults, and veterans—through counseling, medication management, addiction recovery, and case coordination, all tailored for long-term well-being.
Using a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach, CHD tailors care to each person’s needs and goals. Services span individual and group counseling, medication support, and integrated care for emotional, behavioral, and substance use challenges. The center also runs veteran-specific programs and youth prevention efforts, including help with quitting smoking and vaping.

2. Active Treatment

Evidence-based therapies including 1-on-1 Counseling and Family Therapy, typically 5 days.

3. Progress & Recovery

Regular progress reviews, skill-building sessions, and adjustment of your treatment plan.

4. Aftercare Planning

Continued support, relapse prevention strategies, and connections to community resources for lasting recovery.
