Evidence-based methods include 1-on-1 therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and life skills training. At the center, clients can practice healthy skills such as journaling, time management, chores, decision making, and handling peer pressure. Additionally, clients’ families can participate in weekly family therapy sessions, a weekly parent education program, family meals, or a multi-family large group.
Clementine Fairfax provides academic support and reintegration help for its clients in addition to medical and psychiatric care. They provide their clients with a greater understanding of risks associated with co-occurring disorders, such as substance use, mood disorders, and trauma. Clients and their families also receive personalized meal and exercise plans upon discharge.
