About Crosbie House
Crosbie House is a non profit residential treatment program that focuses on mending the mind, body, and spirit from the effects of addiction. Run by a dedicated group of physicians, addiction specialists, and volunteers, Crosbie House believes that recovery is possible for the individual and the entire family as well. Over the course of 4 weeks, clients participate in 1-on-1 counseling sessions, extensive group therapy, acupuncture, art therapy, physical activity, smudging, and 12-Step recovery meetings.
Recovery is a lifelong commitment, so it is essential that family members are offered the support and training needed to achieve lasting results. Crosbie House provides a weekly family group on Wednesday evenings and 1-on-1 counseling for family members. This helps families gain education and insight in the recovery process. After the 4 weeks are over, clients leave with a clearer mind and the tools needed to sustain sobriety. Crosbie’s aftercare program includes an alumni program to help transition back into daily life.
The Crosbie Houses provide a home-like environment. The resident grounds are situated in the Annapolis Valley and create a private and serene setting. There is plenty of space for walking with nearby trails to immerse oneself in the healing power of nature. Yoga, meditation, and physical fitness are all available on-site at the Crosbie House. Meals are prepared by in-house chefs using only the freshest ingredients, sourced locally.
