Decade2Connect specializes in a family systems model for children and adolescents, providing care from outpatient sessions to a structured intensive outpatient program (IOP). This approach is built on involving the entire family unit as active participants in the therapeutic process. Using modalities like play, art, and music, children can process complex emotions and develop skills in a more natural, non-confrontational format. In addition, animal-assisted therapy is offered with their dog, Rigby, whose personality is well-suited for working with people.
A cornerstone of their program is parent coaching rooted in emotion-focused family therapy (EFFT), which equips caregivers with practical skills to become effective “emotion coaches” for their children. This training helps families navigate difficult feelings together.
