Encore Outpatient Services

Encore Outpatient Services in Arlington, Virginia, provides an intensive outpatient program (IOP), and a standard outpatient program. These services are designed for individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions, offering structured support while allowing clients to continue living at home.
Each client participates in a thorough assessment to identify treatment needs, medical concerns, and contributing factors. Encore places a strong emphasis on trauma-informed care, recognizing the connection between trauma and behavioral health. Licensed clinicians use therapeutic methods such as dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), psychodrama, and art therapy. These approaches help clients build resilience, learn coping skills, and work toward healthier patterns of behavior.
Encore encourages family participation through specialized programming that includes counseling, psychoeducation, and support groups. This involvement allows families to gain understanding, strengthen communication, and support the recovery journey.
