About Family Service Center Seaside
Family Service Center Seaside is a part of Community Human Services’ broader network and offers outpatient mental health counseling for all ages. It provides a safe space for healing through individual, family, and group therapy. Clients receive expert support through proven therapies, goal setting, and regular reassessment. Programs include the Domestic Violence/Anger Management Program and the Connect Parent Education Program, offering court-approved counseling, attachment-based parenting skills, and support for depression, identity adjustment, or living with HIV/AIDS. Group sessions and referrals ensure lasting guidance both in and beyond the therapy room.
The Counseling and Therapy Services (CATS) program offers a confidential, welcoming environment for LGBTQ+ individuals and families. Led by LGBTQ+ identified staff and professionals, the program addresses unique mental health needs, including identity exploration, coming out, and community stigma. Support groups for teens and adults provide further connection and healing for those navigating anger, relationships, and self-acceptance.
