About First Dawn Recovery

First Dawn Recovery serves veterans, military personnel, first responders, National Guard members, and reservists with a 10-bed residential program designed to treat substance use, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and mental health disorders. With a deep understanding of the distinct challenges these groups face, they provide a tailored approach that puts each client at the center of their program, giving them a sense of control over their recovery journey. With peer support and evidence-based therapies, clients build a foundation for a brighter future.
First Dawn Recovery’s trauma-informed treatment provides veterans, military personnel, and first responders with compassionate, specialized care. Their approach reduces stigma, prevents re-traumatization, and fosters trust by addressing trauma-related conditions with understanding and respect. With treatment that truly understands military culture, clients learn to manage triggers, rebuild relationships, and successfully reintegrate into civilian life.
Using a variety of therapies, First Dawn Recovery empowers clients with solid strategies for recovery. Clients benefit from 3 weekly individual therapy sessions, which can include methods like eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). In addition to family and group counseling, clients can explore art, music, and recreational therapy. They also learn techniques to regulate emotions, such as mindfulness, anger management, and conflict resolution.
First Dawn Recovery’s Las Vegas accommodations provide a homelike, supportive setting for up to 10 clients at a time. Clients enjoy modern amenities, a well-appointed kitchen, private or shared bedrooms, spacious bathrooms, a pool and patio, wheelchair accessibility, and the ability to keep their cell phones.
