Five Acres Boys and Girls Aid Society Residential

Five Acres' Residential Services cater to children aged 6 to 18 experiencing significant emotional and behavioral challenges that cannot be safely managed in a home environment. The program addresses high-risk behaviors, providing a safe, nurturing, and trauma-informed setting to stabilize clients and facilitate their successful transition back into a home setting.
The program offers intensive inpatient services, including daily sessions with clinicians for individual and family therapy, rehabilitation specialists for behavioral support, case managers to connect families with resources, crisis intervention specialists, education enrichment specialists for therapeutic skill-building, and psychological evaluations with medication support if needed. Services are available in English, Spanish, and other languages through interpreters, with accessible meeting options via telehealth or on-campus.
Five Acres focuses on family-centered care within a goal-oriented framework, considering each client's history in treatment planning. The campus, situated on a lush five-acre property in Altadena, features home-like cottages, large indoor and outdoor recreation centers, a swimming pool, art and music rooms, and maintains a 4:1 child-to-staff ratio, helping ensure personalized attention and a supportive environment for healing and growth.
