Focus

This center treats substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Your treatment plan addresses each condition at once with personalized, compassionate care for comprehensive healing.

Foundations San Francisco offers intensive outpatient programs (IOPs) and day treatment for addiction and mental health. Their abstinence-based program treats dual-diagnoses, trauma, and primary mental health. Foundations San Francisco provides group therapy, process groups, skills shops, and weekly check-ins with clients’ primary therapists and Foundations’ on-site psychiatrist. All therapists at Foundations San Francisco are masters-level practitioners. Foundations San Francisco also provides family support, with 2 meetings each month. Foundations San Francisco’s IOP offers 2 program times: day and evening. Their day program runs from 12-3:00pm, Monday through Friday. Their virtual evening program runs from 5-8:00pm, Monday through Thursday. Clients attend treatment at a time slot of their choosing. Foundations San Francisco tests weekly for drugs and alcohol, helping clients maintain sobriety throughout their IOP experience. They also provide day treatment, or a partial hospitalization program (PHP) for a more intensive experience. Their PHP runs Monday–Friday from 9:30–3:00p.m. Clients can attend treatment online too, using Foundations’ telehealth program. Foundations San Francisco provides evidence-based and wellness therapies. Their evidence-based therapies include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), medication-assisted treatment (MAT), trauma-informed therapy, and relapse prevention strategies. Foundations also provides art therapy, Somatic experiencing, yoga therapy, acupuncture, and massage therapy. Clients at Foundations San Francisco can return for alumni groups and get-togethers. Foundations San Francisco hosts monthly events for all alumni and welcomes clients back into treatment at any time. They also work with outside providers to help clients retain a level of treatment after they leave the program.
