Located less than 7 miles from Downtown Chicago, Gateway offers full comprehensive care using evidence-based therapies and individualized treatment plans. Gateway Foundation was founded in 1968 and now has 16 centers in Illinois. Chicago Independence provides personalized outpatient programs, on-site detox, virtual services, and a residential program for adults. The Gateway Foundation also offers an online outpatient treatment program for adolescents that provides both the patient and their loved ones the resources needed to understand addiction and begin the road to recovery. The program treats clients who are struggling with alcohol and drug addictions and co-occurring mental health disorders. Gateway Chicago Independence can address the root cause of the addiction while using individualized treatment plans catered to the clients specific needs. Treatment is age-based and gender-specific including evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), family therapy, group and individual therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing (MI), medication-assisted therapies, and 12-Step facilitation. Gateway Foundation is accredited by the Joint Commission. At Gateway Foundation, clients have shared bedrooms and bathrooms. All accommodations are age and gender appropriate.
