About Greater Boston Addiction Centers

Greater Boston Addiction Centers (GBAC) offers comprehensive addiction treatment, providing all levels of care, including intensive outpatient programs (day or evening), partial hospitalization, and medication-assisted treatment for withdrawal support. GBAC also addresses co-occurring mental health conditions through mindfulness and cognitive behavioral therapy to help reframe and reshape thinking patterns.
GBAC offers IOP during the day and evening to accommodate different schedules. Their PHP care provides an intensive, comprehensive approach, with more time spent at GBAC. As an inclusive care provider, GBAC offers specific groups for women, men, and LGBTQ clients. GBAC offers cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and motivational interviewing techniques.
GBAC provides psychoeducation for clients and their families, helping them learn more about addiction, triggers, and relapse prevention. They also facilitate an employee assistance program for clients needing to take time off from work or integrate treatment into their schedule.
Clients at GBAC can learn new life skills, grow their sober community with group therapy, and reconnect with loved ones in family therapy. GBAC also uses a trauma-informed approach, helping clients process trauma in a safe setting. Along with trauma and post-traumatic stress (PTSD), GBAC can treat bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder (BPD), anxiety, depression, and process addictions.
