Legacy Treatment Center supports men ages 18 to 35 facing addiction, trauma, depression, and anxiety. Licensed by the State of Utah and accredited by the Joint Commission, it offers a 90-day hybrid residential program that blends clinical care with outdoor adventure. Clients receive 70 days of intensive treatment and a 20-day transition phase with a focus on co-occurring disorders through individual, group, and
family therapy.
Treatment combines evidence-based methods like eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), dialectical behavior therapy (
DBT),
cognitive behavioral therapy (
CBT), internal family systems (IFS), motivational interviewing, and attachment theory with
holistic practices such as mindfulness, equine therapy, and experiential adventure work. Clients build emotional regulation, healthy routines, and coping skills through real-life challenges and consistent therapeutic support.
Clients stay in dorm-style housing on a remote Utah campus surrounded by mountains, forest trails, and desert skies. They hike, cook, manage chores, and build life skills in a setting that encourages reflection and connection. With art and equine therapy, 24/7 nursing, and psychiatric care, the program fosters personal growth through structure, nature, and community.
Evidence-Based Context: According to SAMHSA's National Survey on Drug Use and Health (2023), approximately 48.7 million Americans aged 12 or older had a substance use disorder in the past year. The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) emphasizes that treatment programs combining behavioral therapy with medication-assisted approaches show the highest rates of sustained recovery. Facilities like Legacy Treatment Center provide structured pathways to evidence-based care.
