Meta House is a 501c3 nonprofit organization in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, that provides substance use disorder (SUD) and co-occurring mental health treatment services to women and children.
Meta House provides gender-specific, trauma-informed, family-centered, and individualized treatment, because every recovery journey is unique. Meta House's continuum of care includes inpatient/
residential treatment,
outpatient treatment, and temporary recovery housing. They use an evidence-based approach that includes 1-on-1 therapy, curriculum-based
group therapy, and family services. After clients complete residential or outpatient treatment, they can transition to Meta House's temporary
sober living.
Meta House’s residential program welcomes mothers to bring their children (ages 10 and under) into treatment; both mother and child can heal together. Meta House’s recovery housing includes apartments for women with children.
