About Mt. Zion House
Mt. Zion House is a Christian sober living home for men with substance use disorders, using a faith-based approach to care.
The program at Mt. Zion House spans a minimum of 26 weeks and is divided into three distinct phases. Phase 1 is a residential program featuring a structured schedule that includes classes, one-on-one discipleship, group sessions, church attendance, household chores, and recreational activities. Phase 2 is an eight-week transitional phase where clients are required to secure and maintain full-time employment to support themselves financially. Outside of work, they continue to follow the Phase 1 schedule. Phase 3 lasts for twelve weeks, during which clients maintain employment and take on increased responsibilities. In return, they are granted more opportunities and privileges as they progress toward greater independence.
Situated on a 15-acres of land, the house can house up to 24 men at a time. Clients are provided with shared bedrooms, and have access to a large kitchen, common room, chapel, classrooms, and offices. There is an exercise area available on the property, as well as a gymnasium that is typically available at Mt. Zion Christian Church, just a short walk from the main house. Lake Geneva offers a wide range of recreational activities, including swimming at local beaches, zip lining and rope courses, and sightseeing opportunities.
