About PROMIS Family Programme

Located an hour and a half outside London, the Promis Family Programme is a unique treatment programme that is dedicated to helping families cohesively heal from substance abuse disorder and co-occurring disorders. This programme applies to couples or families. Promis developed this programme to meet the individual needs of each family, like dynamics and emotional processing within the family and generational trauma. They have found that healing as a whole instead the client on their own can produce more long lasting compassion and understanding amongst the entire family. Promis offers many evidence-based therapies for the most comprehensive treatment like CBT, DBT, mindfulness, positive psychology, SMART recovery, and the Minnesota Model. Their goal is to not only mend the body physically, but also the mind by resolving hidden emotional struggles and learning new coping skills and positive strategies.
Tucked away in the English countryside, the Promis Family Programme is a 10-bed home allowing families to live together. The two homes are spacious, updated, and provide a tranquil environment to relax and recover. There is also an outdoor pool and lots of outdoor space. A typical day here includes a variety of psychotherapeutic sessions tailored to each client and family, meals prepared by their gourmet chef, and activities like massages, movie nights, and sports games.
