Focus

This center treats substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Your treatment plan addresses each condition at once with personalized, compassionate care for comprehensive healing.

Pyramid Healthcare’s Altoona Outpatient program helps teens and adults who are struggling with drug or alcohol addiction (including tobacco) and co-occurring mental health challenges. They offer day treatment (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), general outpatient (OP), and medication-assisted treatment (MAT). Clients receive care in a flexible setting while staying connected to school, work, and home. Treatment plans include individual, group, and family therapy, with approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and relapse prevention teach clients how to manage emotions and build healthier habits. MAT services help reduce withdrawal symptoms and cravings, using medications such as Methadone, Sublocade, and Subutex (which is safe for pregnant women and their children). Additional services include psychiatric care, DUI programming, and drug and alcohol assessments. Teens and those with both substance use and mental health concerns receive focused care. Recognized as a Center of Excellence for opioid treatment by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, Pyramid Altoona is committed to helping clients stay on track with long-term recovery.
