River Place helps clients identify and replace negative thought patterns that affect their ability to heal and motivates behavioral change through a conversational approach. Group therapy helps clients build communication skills, identify and address triggers, and build self-esteem, while family therapy provides a safe environment to address relational challenges. Psychiatric providers manage medications and meet with clients at least twice per week, promoting stability through consistent care.
Designed with safety and accessibility in mind, private or shared rooms feature ample space for personal belongings. Their large outdoor areas create opportunities for recreation and fitness through basketball games and yoga sessions, as well as space to relax in the shade. Clients connect in group areas, facilitating both organic and intentional peer support, while calming artwork throughout the facility contributes to a peaceful environment for restoration.
Beginning at the start of treatment, River Place works with clients and their families to develop a detailed discharge plan. This plan outlines professional referrals, community-based resources, and online support to help clients maintain and build upon the progress they achieved during treatment. Discharge planning promotes lasting wellness by ensuring clients continue to receive care beyond their time at River Place.
