About Ryther
Located just off Washington State Route 522 in north Seattle, this nonprofit center supports youth ages 8–25 with outpatient programs on a calm 9-acre campus. The team helps clients work through anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorder (SUD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and co-occurring concerns. Levels of care include standard outpatient, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), and partial hospitalization programs (PHP), all tailored to age and need.
Therapists lead individual sessions, group counseling, and caregiver involvement to help youth build emotional awareness, coping tools, and relationship skills. Clinicians integrate medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid and substance use disorders (SUD) with therapy and peer support for a well-rounded approach. Staff engage neurodivergent youth through art, games, and movement to build connection and increase participation.
Ryther runs several focused tracks, including the Sage program for teens working through depression or emotional distress, the Willow program for those experiencing anxiety or obsessive thinking, and the First Episode Psychosis program for youth navigating early symptoms of schizophrenia or related conditions. Each track follows a structured daily routine and combines peer support with therapy to guide youth through recovery with clarity and consistency.
