Located near Lincoln, Nebraska, the center supports women struggling with substance use and co-occurring mental health issues. St. Monica’s Behavioral Health Services offers trauma-informed, gender-specific care through short-term residential treatment, outpatient therapy, and supportive housing. Their mission is to empower women through healing, skill-building, and long-term recovery in a safe, caring space. St. Monica’s uses evidence-based therapies that help women heal from trauma and addiction. Staff offer group and individual counseling, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and parenting programs. Women also explore strength-based tools like gallup strengths finder and mindfulness. These approaches give each woman the tools and confidence to grow and build a life in recovery. Women live in comfortable, home-like settings with shared spaces and personal areas for rest and reflection. Healthy meals are provided, and on-site activities include yoga, art, and therapy with a comfort dog. The center builds community through shared routines, skill-building, and family-centered care to support healing and independence.
