Located near Highway 27 and the St. Joseph River, Shepherd’s House offers faith based transitional living and clinical services for homeless veterans with substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions, such as PTSD and depression. Clients have access to a computer lab, fitness room, gardens, lounges, and outdoor theater. As a nonprofit organization, Shepherd’s House seeks to ensure that veterans who sacrificed for their country are empowered for a sober and stable future. Shepherd’s House offers spiritual counseling from a Christian perspective, clinical and relapse prevention counseling, psychoeducation, recovery meetings, case management, and life skills training, including financial management. They also offer assistance navigating Veterans Administration and refer clients to outside resources for primary care and additional mental health treatment.
