About Silvermist Recovery for Men
Silvermist Recovery is a residential treatment center for adult men. They address the complexities of drug addiction, alcohol addiction, underlying traumas, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), primary mental health conditions, and co-occurring mental health disorders. Silvermist focuses on holistic treatment plans, catering them to the individual needs of each client. They also encourage their clients to participate in the 12-Step program, providing transportation to and from meetings. Silvermist treats primary mental health conditions like anxiety, depression, bipolar, and borderline personality disorder.
Silvermist’s evidence-based therapies include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), group and individual therapy, family therapy, trauma-specific therapies, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and medication-assisted treatment. Their holistic modalities include meditation, journaling, mindfulness, art therapy, nature therapy, experiential therapy, and equine therapy. With dual accreditations in primary mental health treatment and addiction treatment, Silvermist is a true dual-diagnosis center. Silvermist Recovery houses clients in specific homes for addiction treatment and mental health care. They focus on ACT therapy, placing confidence and responsibility back into patients’ hands.
A focus on trauma care helps patients heal from past events and move forward into recovery. Silvermist’s 2-phase trauma program seeks to make men feel comfortable and safe before beginning therapeutic, intensive care. Using the polyvagal theory, which stimulates the vagus nerve to calm the central nervous system, men can experience relief from trauma’s symptoms. Silvermist uses a variety of therapies to combat trauma, combining approaches to fit each patient and position them for lasting recovery.
Silvermist is on 30 acres in the lush hills of western Pennsylvania, offering private and semi-private accommodations. They house up to 25 clients at a time in four private residences. Silvermist’s residential or partial hospitalization housing all have modern amenities and homey touches. Their fitness center and yoga studio reside in their large, upgraded barn. On site, men can enjoy a large pool, outdoor seating, walking trails, a home movie theater, equine therapy, and horseback riding. Men can go off site for hiking, swimming, bowling, and other adventure outings.
Silvermist is accredited by CARF and LegitScript certified.
