About Spectrum Health Systems

Established in 1969, Spectrum Health Systems is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals impacted by addiction and/or mental health disorders. Spectrum offers a range of counseling services and medication-assisted treatment at residential and outpatient facilities located throughout Massachusetts. They offer a full continuum of care including medical detox, residential care, outpatient counseling, and peer support. In addition to addiction and mental health treatment, Spectrum also provides specialty programs for anger management and intimate partner abuse along with an adolescent residential program for ages 13 to 21. Residential treatment consists of individual, group, and family counseling, recovery groups, relapse prevention training, and recreational activities. All clients develop a comprehensive aftercare plan to help sustain long-term recovery. The length of stay in the residential programs is variable based upon individual's unique needs.
Spectrum Health Systems levels of care are all available at Spectrum’s treatment campus in Westborough, Massachusetts. The Charles J.
