About Thalia House
Founded in 2011, Thalia House is a transitional living facility for women in early recovery from eating disorders and co-occurring mental health issues. Thalia House provides clients with around the clock support, life skills training, relapse prevention, and intensive outpatient programs (IOP) for both adolescents and adults. They are focused on emotional, mental, physical, spiritual, and relational wellness. Thalia House’s approach is holistic combined with evidence based therapies. Clients are encouraged to focus on self-acceptance, empowerment, and freedom. A typical stay at Thalia House is 30 days minimum, and most clients will stay up to 3 months. During their stay, clients are encouraged to set short and long term goals and stay involved through part-time employment, school, or volunteering.
Thalia House has services that include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), couple therapy, individual and group therapy, and family therapy. A few modalities include pre-martial counseling, marriage counseling, sex counseling, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), nutrition counseling, relational therapy, parenting and family dynamic issues, eating disorders intensive outpatient programming, and support groups.
The Thalia House is a beautiful country home that can house up to 7 clients. Accommodations include 3 shared bedrooms and 3 shared bathrooms. The home provides a comfortable living room area and a jacuzzi on the patio. A house mother is on-site 24/7 for care and supervision. The home is gender-specific and provides programs for women only. While the home is female only, the evening IOP program at Resonate is open for male and female adolescents and adults.
