About The Rose House

Dr. Marcy Chambers, a PhD and recovering alcoholic, opened The Rose House in 2007 and named it after her daughter, Brittany Rose, who died after using ecstasy. The Rose House is a high quality, gender-specific, extended care addiction and mental health treatment center where women can experience sustained sobriety and emotional healing. At The Rose House, they focus on the whole person by promoting psychological, emotional, physical, spiritual, and cognitive healing. They focus on addressing trauma as the root cause of mental health and addiction, and they provide a safe and supportive environment for women to recover in. Their treatment uses a holistic approach, and therapy can include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), advanced emotion regulation, art therapy, equine therapy, nutrition, weekly family sessions, and mindfulness. In addition, there is a strong relapse prevention component in their program. Clients participate in a 12-Step program every evening and also volunteer in the community.
The Rose Home is located in the quiet country outside of Boulder, Colorado. Their 16-bed country cottage offers incredible landscape views and often becomes a home away from home. Clients share household duties, dine together in a family dining room, and take advantage of a number of outdoor activities at their disposal. The intimate size of The Rose House and beautiful setting makes it an ideal place to start long term recovery.

Evidence-Based Context: According to SAMHSA's National Survey on Drug Use and Health (2023), approximately 48.7 million Americans aged 12 or older had a substance use disorder in the past year. The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) emphasizes that treatment programs combining behavioral therapy with medication-assisted approaches show the highest rates of sustained recovery. Facilities like The Rose House provide structured pathways to evidence-based care. Sources: SAMHSA NSDUH 2023, NIDA Principles of Drug Addiction Treatment (4th Ed.)
