Thira Health is a unique treatment program helping women, teen girls, and gender non-conforming individuals struggling with eating disorders, anxiety, depression, self-harm, and other co-occurring mental health conditions. Guided by a team of experts, Thira treats the specific needs of women and girls using evidence-based treatment approaches rooted in dialectical behavioral therapy (
DBT). Their compassionate staff includes licensed professionals in art therapy, nutrition counseling, and more, making it possible for each client to fulfill their purpose.
Thira Health provides residential care and varying levels of
outpatient care, including morning and evening
intensive outpatient (IOP) and
partial hospitalization programs (PHP). Their morning IOP is ideal for adults and teens needing support for anxiety and depression, while allowing them to maintain their other life commitments. The PHP program offers a more intensive style of support for eating disorders, running every day from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., every day from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., every day from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
The facility has rooms for
group therapy, as well as multiple smaller, more intimate rooms for individual sessions. Clients can enjoy the recreation room with a TV and sofas in their free time. Thira Health aims to provide a comfortable space for girls and women to heal at their own pace.
Evidence-Based Context: According to SAMHSA's National Survey on Drug Use and Health (2023), approximately 48.7 million Americans aged 12 or older had a substance use disorder in the past year. The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) emphasizes that treatment programs combining behavioral therapy with medication-assisted approaches show the highest rates of sustained recovery. Facilities like Thira Health provide structured pathways to evidence-based care.
