Focus

This center treats substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Your treatment plan addresses each condition at once with personalized, compassionate care for comprehensive healing.

Tranquility Woods' therapy is accessible in a semi-rural area near both D.C. and Annapolis, Maryland, as well as online. Their approach to recovery is a blend of evidence-based psychotherapy and 12-Step facilitation. Tranquility Woods believes that drugs and alcohol are not the root cause of addiction, but instead that there is an underlying problem that causes clients to self-medicate. Tranquility Woods develops personalized plans for treatment. They use a blend of group and individual therapy with the time-tested methods of dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Tranquility Woods' outpatient programs include day (PHP) sessions or intensive outpatient (IOP) sessions from Monday to Thursday. Their day treatment runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. for group therapy and includes weekly 1-on-1 counseling, totalling about 21 hours per week. Their IOP program meets either 8-11 a.m. or 5:45-8:45 p.m., depending on clients' preferences. Clients can join these programs in the semi-rural town of Arnold or from the comfort of home.
