About Vista Taos
Since 1994, Vista Taos Renewal Center has been providing clients with residential treatment services for adult men and women struggling from alcohol and drug addictions as well as co-occurring mental health disorders. A typical stay can last 28-30 days and can range in price starting at $24,000. Prior to entering the residential program, clients have a physical exam and psychiatric evaluation and individualized treatment plans are created. An on-site medically assisted detox is available, if necessary. Vista Taos facilitates the 12-Step curriculum. Weekly treatments include individual and group sessions, AA/NA meetings, relapse prevention, grief therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and Big Book study. A few therapies that are used during treatments include creative arts therapy, family therapy, equine therapy, experiential therapy, life skills, motivational interviewing (MI), and sound therapy.
The staff includes Master’s-level addiction counselors, LCSWs, a residential director, an extended care director, an equine specialist, a clinical nurse practitioner, a 12-step coach, a massage therapist, and a CADC II.
Vista Taos is accredited by CARF. They accept most insurance plans and also have financing options for clients.
Vista Taos’ residential property has an influence from the ancient Native American settlement called Taos Pueblo. The program has an 18 bed capacity for men and women in gender-specific areas. Warm and inviting gender-specific rooms are shared and decorated with influences from the Southwest. Residents dine at a large wooden table inside an open concept dining room that has American Indian decor. A private chef prepares all meals from scratch and can accommodate all types of diets and allergies including vegan, vegetarian, Heart Healthy, and kosher.
