About Volunteers of America Dakotas
The Volunteers of America Dakotas program offers counseling, trauma-focused treatment, substance use evaluations, and aftercare for children, adolescents and adults who are experiencing mental health and substance use concerns. These concerns include depression, stress, anxiety, grief, and trauma. They also provide support for family and relationship struggles, including divorce and parenting difficulties.
The center provides therapeutic services, including individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and medication management, to address a variety of conditions. They also provide specialized programs such as trauma-focused treatment for children and adolescents, and substance use treatment for both adults and adolescents. Additionally, the moral reconation therapy (MRT) program is designed to assist those struggling with substance use in making more positive choices and decisions.
VOA Dakotas provides residential treatment with their new start program, which creates a safe and supportive environment for pregnant and parenting women struggling with substance use. The program allows children to remain with their mothers while they receive treatment. Additionally, VOA Dakotas offers intensive outpatient programs (IOP) for those who do not require residential care.
