Wellfound Behavioral Health Hospital in Tacoma, Washington, was created by MultiCare and Virginia Mason Franciscan Health to meet the rising need for mental health care. This nonprofit hospital offers short-term inpatient treatment for adults 18 and older who are experiencing a mental health crisis. The goal is to help patients find stability, safety, and hope in a supportive, healing environment. The hospital treats serious mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, psychosis, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and more. A team of doctors, nurses, and therapists works together to create treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs. Care includes daily therapy, medication management, and support from medical and nursing staff around the clock. Patients take part in group and individual sessions that teach symptom management, coping skills, and daily life strategies.
