About Active Recovery Men

Active Recovery aims to give men who are transitioning from active substance use to "active recovery", a pleasant living space supplemented by personal training and recovery counseling services. Their recovery apartments feature gym equipment on-site, local YMCA membership, and personal trainers for clients. Active Recovery’s program incorporates house meetings, chores, occasional drug testing, and local excursions to the Austin area. Clients can enjoy shared bedrooms, home-like living spaces, internet access, TVs, cook outs, and a large backyard area. When moving in, clients receive a nutritionist exam to allow them to take control of their wellbeing and add dimension to it. Exercise therapies in the physical realm include aerobics, weightlifting, stretches, and yoga.
