About Alpha 180

Alpha 180 is a transitional program geared for young men in recovery. Alpha 180 provides a safe, effective environment where men can discover their purpose, thrive socially, and live out their potential. Alpha 180’s unique program involves transitional housing, a sober clubhouse, clinical services, case management, life skills training, and an intensive outpatient program (IOP).
Transitional housing is an aftercare experience designed to provide the tools needed for successful recovery. With the support of an experienced staff and a community of like minded peers, Alpha 180 residents gain the self-confidence and valuable directions needed for long term recovery. Individual counseling is arranged along with group counseling, trauma-specific eye movement therapy (EMDR), and life skills development. Personal Education Specialists will help residents who are seeking to enroll in coursework make sure it is a successful transition.
The Alpha 180 Sober Clubhouse is a gathering place for young people in recovery. With oversized couches and chairs, the Clubhouse is a perfect place to study during the day or for a post-up recovery meeting at night. The Sober Clubhouse, located steps from the University of Texas at Austin, has licensed clinicians and case managers, so support is only a few feet away. The Sober Clubhouse is a great option for newly sober individuals who desire accountability and fellowship.
Lastly, as a part of the Alpha IOP family, clients will be invited to participate in community activities and expeditions all around Texas. By participating in trips and activities with people in recovery the same age, it's easier to see that recovery is fun and makes lifelong memories. Trips include snowboarding in Taos, New Mexico, overnight trips to Galveston’s beaches, and cliff jumping, disc golf, and much more.
