Beachwood Recovery House treats men and women who are suffering from substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. Their philosophy includes mixing holistic, medical, and experiential approaches to treatment. Beachwood Recovery House is a 12-Step facilitated sober living home, available to clients attending South Pacific Private's outpatient program. Every client that comes through the doors is welcomed by a full team of specialists dedicated to providing wraparound support that includes medically monitored detox, specialist nursing care, psychiatric assessments, treatment counselling, psychotherapy, group therapy, educational lectures, and an individual case management plan. Beachwood Recovery House also offers yoga, mindfulness, drumming, daily beach walks, art therapy, a mindful eating program, a family program, and 24 hour nursing support. Beachwood Recovery House is fully licensed with the NSW Department of Health and is registered as an acute care psychiatric hospital. Beachwood Recovery House’s center is a beautiful 3-story beach home just a few minutes away from the beach. This facility was designed to feel homey yet provide the care that a typical psychiatric hospital would. Beachwood Recovery House’s accommodations include 54 beds that are semi private and private with shared bathrooms. Their dining room has indoor and outdoor seating areas and provides uninterrupted views of Curl Curl beach. Meals are provided 3 times a day and are healthy, nutritious, and balanced foods that are offered as part of the Mindful Eating Program. All meals and beverages are sugar-free and caffeine-free. Beachwood Recovery House has a garden that has native plants and is used as an opportunity for reflection and reading.
