Caminar in 375 Cambridge Avenue, Palo Alto, provides a full spectrum of mental health and substance use services for all age groups, including children and teens. They address challenges such as emotional distress, addiction, trauma, and interpersonal conflicts. Offerings include everything from one-on-one sessions to more structured outpatient care, all delivered with culturally sensitive, individualized support. Their team uses proven methods like CBT, talk therapy, and psychiatric support. Clients gain access to medication management, trauma-informed care, and essential life skills development. These tools promote healing, strengthen emotional resilience, and support healthier relationships. Caminar’s unique offerings include assistance for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing individuals, classroom-based trauma education, and violence prevention initiatives. They also provide affirming support for LGBTQ+ clients and amplify lived experiences through their Speakers Bureau. Appointments are required for most offerings, with the exception of select drop-in group sessions. This has also what they call the LGBTQ Youth Space where anyone and everyone is free to express themselves.
