Located across Michigan Avenue from Millenium Park, Centers for Cognitive Wellness offers telehealth and in-person assessments and treatment for neurological disorders and mental health conditions including movement disorders, traumatic brain injury (TBI), ADHD, long COVID, memory concerns, stroke, dementia, depression, anxiety, trauma, and caregiver stress. Centers for Cognitive Wellness accepts Medicare, many major private insurance plans, and out of network insurance. Centers for Cognitive Wellness takes a positive neuropsychology approach, believing that adult brains can continue to grow and change. Centers for Cognitive Wellness offers neuropsychological assessments to help understand clients’ cognitive skills through behavior, attention, language, and memory. Clients also participate in psychotherapy, with therapists implementing cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), and mindfulness-based therapy. Centers for Cognitive Wellness further offers cognitive rehabilitation, helping build thinking skills and independence for people with declining thinking abilities or conditions like ADHD.
